There will be some additional teachings and practice opportunities at the zendo over the next few weeks.

– On Sunday January 19, there will be a special program on Dharma and Racism in honor of MLK Day. The morning program, from 8.30 – 11.00 am, will include one period of meditation; a dharma talk by Eisho; and a period of inquiry, writing and discussion. Sangha tea to follow.

– For the following two Sundays, Jan 26 and Feb 2, we will have the opportunity to deepen our practice with extended zazen. The morning program both Sundays will be from 8.30 – 11.00 am and will include 3 periods of meditation and a Dharma Reflection (short talk) by Eisho. Individual interview with Eisho will also be available for those who would like to talk about any practice issues. The Dharma Reflections will be taken from the Mumonkan, the koan collection known as The Gateless Barrier.

– On Thursday Jan 23 and Thursday Jan 30 there also be a Dharma Reflection by Eisho, again from the Mumonkan. The time will be as usual, from 5.30 – 7.00 pm.
